CPD & Skills Renewal
At Workplace Bereavement, we empower individuals and organisations to improve the bereavement support that their organisation provides.
Workplace Bereavement was founded in early 2023 by Jacqueline Gunn after the untimely death of her father. She felt there was a lack of support for employees during this life changing, inevitable time. Get to know the heart and soul behind our work – meet the exceptional individuals that make up our team. United by passion, creativity, and a shared commitment, we bring diverse talents together to drive innovation and success. Explore the faces and stories that shape our workplace, where collaboration thrives, and every team member contributes to our journey.

CPD Workplace Bereavement
Continued Professional Development (CPD) is the practice of professionals continuing to develop their skills and knowledge. This could involve upskilling for their current careers, or supporting their future trajectory.
To support these goals, the CPD certification service is a trusted professional development accreditation. This hallmark is recognised by businesses across Europe, and is one of the most highly regarded global professional membership bodies of its kind. At Workplace Bereavement, all of our training courses are accredited by the CPD accreditation. This is a testament to our empowering professional development courses, and our commitment to training excellence
Would you like to become a workplace bereavement trainer?
Many people find it extremely difficult to speak about bereavement, and – although they want to help – have no idea what the ‘right’ thing is to say to someone who is grieving.
However, without this support, people can be left feeling even more isolated, anxious and distressed. This is particularly common within the workplace as, if the right support structures are not already in place, people can feel too anxious to seek the support they need.
By taking part in our workplace bereavement programme, you can help your organisation to promote a far more positive, conscientious and forward-thinking workplace culture.
As a workplace bereavement trainer, you can ensure your colleagues have a clear point of contact, and access to specialist, dependable support.

Workplace bereavement training skills renewal
Concerningly, recent studies highlighted that 35% of employees felt they did not receive bereavement guidance from their employers. So, if you’ve previously been trained to conduct specialist bereavement counselling, we also offer skills renewal courses.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who have experience in bereavement support, but would like further training on how to transfer this skill to the workplace. Or, our workplace bereavement training courses can be a great refresher for anyone who would like to advance or update their knowledge. During these sessions, you can learn the latest insights, best practice approaches, and access our extensive bank of resources, to further your learning.
